Do you have signs for your homes?
With the warm weather begins a new construction season. We encourage you to place our signs in the new homes you are building and recommend your advertising materials have our logo. A new home warranty is a great selling feature, so letting customers know you belong to our Program will only help you. If you don't have any signs, stop by our office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to pick some up - we have lots! If you need our logo, contact Lori at the office and she will send it to you via e-mail or on disk.
Have you added our link to your site?
If you haven't already done so, check our Builder's List page to see if your company information was added correctly. You'll notice we have added a link to those Builders' company names' who have a website of their own. Please note that we have done this on condition that you add our website link to your site.
No Web-site? We'll build you a Company Page!
On May 11, 2001 we sent each of you a letter informing you of our upcoming site, and requested you send us information on your company so we can set up a page for you (for those who don't already have a web-site). Where are all your responses? After all, we are offering free advertising! On the Builder Members page, we have already listed any contact information you have provided to us. We are willing to go one step further, though, and create a one-page description of your company which may include your logo, additional contact information, and anything else of importance. What better way to give your company more exposure?! So, if you haven't already done so, send us all the information you would like on your company page, formatted in the manner you would like it to appear. If you have a logo you would like on the page, please send it via e-mail or on disk in GIF, JPEG, or PNG format. If you have any questions, please contact Carol.
We have been receiving enrollment forms in our office that are missing information. Remember that this only slows down the enrollment of your home. If you have questions on filling in enrollment forms, please feel free to contact the office.
Please remember to submit your forms on time. Any enrollment submitted later that 61 days past the date the permit was issued, incurs a $30.00 late fee.
Land Fees - When you are filling in your form remember that if the total selling price DOES NOT include land, a $25.00 land fee is required - unless the price of the home is $200,000 or greater.
Maintenance Videos - Normally, with each enrollment, you include a maintenance video fee and we send you your video once we have processed your enrollment As an alternative, you may purchase a number of videos in advance (5, 10, 25, how ever many you want). The benefit to you is that you have the videos when you need them - you don't have to wait to enroll a home. This is great for prospective customers who wish to view the video ahead of time. Further, you'll be helping us save postage! Simply let us know how many videos you would like and we will invoice you. The videos will be sent to you via courier - at our expense, or may be picked up at the office.
A word about Possession Certificates
The Certificate of Possession and New Home Warranty is a very important document.
It is good practice to go over the warranty with the homeowners long before
you begin negotiations over the purchase. Remember that this is an added selling
feature - one that will add to the comfort of a prospective purchaser. When
you and the homeowner are doing your final walk-through of the home just prior
to possession, we recommend you fill in the Possession Certificate at the
same time. Make this part of your closing routine. Remember that both you
and the purchasers must sign and date the certificate. This works best when
you do it at the same time rather than mailing the certificate to them to
complete on their own. **It is the responsibility of the Builder to provide
the Program with a duly executed certificate.
Take your time to ensure that ALL information is correct before sending the
certificate to our office. Below are some important notes to consider:
Do you have any Unoccupied Inventory?
If any of you have any outstanding Possession Certificates, please forward them to the office. When we do not have a certificate on file for a home, it remains listed as unoccupied in our database - even if you have sold that home years ago. This not only can affect your yearly renewal, but causes confusion when customers call in regard to their warranty and we cannot locate their certificate. We understand there are certain situations when a home is sold and no certificate is executed. Our office needs to be apprised of these situations so that we may make the necessary updates in our database. If you would like a list of your unoccupied inventory for review, please contact our office.
