Pipes Are Leaking

Acceptable Performance/Condition
Domestic water supply and drainpipes shall not leak.

Warranty
One -Year Work and Materials
Damage resulting from improper maintenance or additions, deletions or alterations made by the homeowner is excluded from the warranty.
Secondary damage caused by defects, such as damage to personal property or personal injury, is excluded from the warranty.

Action
Pipes not meeting the acceptable performance shall be repaired.

Remarks
Condensation on piping should not be mistaken for a leaking pipe. Condensation on cold-water supply pipes is not covered by the warranty. High indoor humidity is the main cause of condensation on pipes. If a leak is detected in a water supply pipe, the main water supply valve should be turned off immediately until the builder’s representative can assess the condition.
